About Davóg Rynne

Davóg Rynne, a multi-talented artist, was born in 1968 into a family deeply rooted in Irish music, the renowned Moore / Rynne musical lineage. As the son of the talented singer Anne Rynne and the skilled Tin Whistle player and folklorist Davoc Rynne, music and performance is undoubtedly in his blood. Furthermore, his uncle’s Christy Moore and Luka Bloom are esteemed musicians in their own right, providing Davóg with a very rich musical heritage.

Davóg began his musical journey, mastering the tin whistle, bodhran, and the guitar as a young man. His passion for music flourished as he grew.

He ran concerts in Lyon in the renowned cultural cafe Obamo Cafe,booking artists from Ireland and bringing them to France for workshops and concerts. He also ran a monthly Song Circle in 2012 in Lyon for five years to much acclaim. Davóg has also hosted his own radio show The Folk ‘n Trad Show at C’Rock Radio FM in 2016-2018.

Recently Davóg has joined up with Asteria Karavan in Toulouse, a collective of diverse artists and with his stage persona Gangani they have been touring around the south of France. His solo concerts bring him yearly on tour to Belgium and Holland. Davóg also plays in a duo with Julien Cartonnet called Gangani and the Roger Moore Experience. Davóg’s diverse artistic abilities make him a true artist. As a gifted musician, singer, actor, poet, and storyteller, he possesses a unique blend of talents that captivate audiences from all walks of life.

His musical journey reached new heights with the release of his first album, “Talk to me” in 2018, followed by his second album “Gangani – Seeds Of Hope” in spring 2020, which garnered much acclaim. And, in January 2023, Davóg unveiled his third album, “Come to the Path” which further showcases his artistic talents. A new album called “Are We Doing Well?” will be released in the spring of 2024.
